This am I went to Mustard Seed with another friend and we passed Bay and Government where a homeless couple had set up an area for themselves, guess it got too big and an eye sore cause they had an awful lot of police and City lf Victoria workers and vehicles involved.

I noticed the couple seemed calm and not distressed, the police seemed calm as well.

I see the garbage truck withh so many police and hope that the folks were able to sort through and keep vital equipment like tent gear, plastic sheets and the like for survival on the streets.

I cannot help but share  that the cost of a tent city, supported by City of Victoria staff would be way more cost efficient than these scene’s that happen far too frequently.  No one knows where homeless may have to pop up their tents, the more they are moved along, jacked up and harraassed by police, the more they themselves and residents are vulnerable to crimes of violence and theft.

I urge you to consider supportiing tent city by finding a site close to services downtown and lead in the building and creation of compassionate commiunity which leaves no one out.  A tent city can help deal with violent offendors in helping assist those vulnerable.  You can also support a safe consumption site with the local initiative YES2SCS campaighn.  We know from fact that a safe consumption site helps lower health care cost, police cost and, in the end, it helps us focus on the need for social housing now.  Lets get on this once and for all and gather amoungst ourselves and come up with strategies, ask Lisa Helps to suppport a tent city and lets ask Philipe Lucas if he’d be interested in helping us out.  Many homeless rememeber him being the only City Councilor who supported the homeless tent city, all others including Dean Fortin suported the GNA which is proving to be what we as socila jsutice warned of, a way to attack the poor, create more stigma nd help keep the divide and poverty pimpint industry alive and well, narrow colonial focus with the help of police and City of Victoria to dislocate and endanger citizens of Victoria..

These are the days to look back at all the work many have done already, have voiced their support for a tent city, many came and voiced their support and ideas at the Bylaw passing circus a few years ago.  I have the footage of that still, ask if you want to see something done with it.

My favorite was when Dean Fortim called Philipe Lucas Mighty Mouth!
I still want to do a parady of that!  The ONE person standing up for the poor and Dean gets all pissy about it?

How embarrasing, it was this point, this moment that I decided he had sold out to greed Kapitalism.  He may be NDP BUT, we differ greatly in that I KNOW poverty pimping exist’s and we have been doing it for years, I worked in that industry for years, I can humbly admit it and move forward with new ideas that challenge old outdated colonial ones.  He cannot and does not want to move forward, so, bye bye Dean Fortin in 2014!  Noam Chomsky says it best, lets wake up NDP and rank and file unions.

Mny of us beg of you: PLEASE STOP SETTLING FOR JOBS AND BANDAIDS!

No Justice, No Peace!

A new generation is forming around us who have are are currently waking up and are needing our suport as they stand up against injustice and unjust laws more and more.  NOt to mention the help we need from each other in regards to this emotional crisis we are in currrently, hang in there folks, reach out to those around you, we are all in this together, we’ll get thru.
